As part of the project, we implemented measures to remove contamination from soil, groundwater, and structures affected by chlorinated and petroleum hydrocarbons (C10-C40).
The saturated zone was remediated by excavating contaminated soil, followed by ex-situ decontamination (biodegradation, incineration). The unsaturated zone was treated using a pump-and-treat system with the reinjection of treated water, biological reductive dechlorination, and final aquifer cleaning through oxidation by applying hydrogen peroxide.
