One of the most modern military fuel storage and terminal in Ukraine was located in Kalynivka. In the first months of the war, this facility was bombed. Thousands of litres of petroleum substances leaked into the surrounding area as a result of breaches in the storage tanks. Our main objective was to determine the extent and degree of contamination of the area, assess the health and environmental risks and propose remediation of the site.
