We conduct a review of archival reports, examine hydrogeological maps of groundwater, locate a groundwater source on the property, and prepare a project plan.
We assess the terrain and select the most suitable location for the well. At least 15 days before starting work, we inform the relevant local municipal office. For wells deeper than 30 meters, we submit the project plan to the regional office at least 30 days in advance.
We prepare a hydrogeological assessment with all the required data for various purposes — for building permits, wells, and stormwater infiltration.
We perform hydrogeological drilling for the extraction of drinking/utility water, groundwater extraction wells (e.g., for groundwater remediation, decontamination and/or for lowering the water table), and monitoring wells (for groundwater observation and water quality monitoring).
Based on geological conditions, we select the drilling technology — core rotary "dry" drilling with a liquid flush using a single or double core barrel with the option of using casing, non-core rotary drilling with a liquid flush using roller bits and tricone bits, or spiral drilling with a diameter of 150-300 mm.
We provide disturbed samples (from the drill core), undisturbed samples (using a cutting-edge press sampler into a 110 mm Novodur casing), groundwater sampling, and analysis by an accredited laboratory.
We conduct preliminary pumping tests, short-term and long-term pumping tests, monitor surrounding structures using data loggers, design and evaluate pumping tests, and perform rising and infiltration tests.
