Biofilters

We supply equipment that effectively removes pollutants and odors from waste air using biological processes. These are suitable for a wide range of industrial sectors. They have the same efficiency as devices based on physical-chemical processes, but significantly lower investment and operating costs.

Biofiltration unit

For any industry

We address the elimination of volatile organic compounds and other pollutants generated during production processes in chemical, petrochemical, food and waste industries, or in agriculture.

Tailored to operations

We optimize technological equipment according to the specific conditions and needs of the operation, taking into account all requirements for efficiency, safety, and sustainability.

Turnkey solutions

We provide the design, manufacturing, supply, and installation of complete equipment. After commissioning, we take care of its maintenance, including efficiency monitoring and replenishment of new bioactive filling.

A safe, environmentally friendly solution

Biofiltration transforms pollutants into harmless products. No combustion emissions are produced, and the technology operates with zero waste. Biofilters are therefore an ideal solution for companies and industrial enterprises that aim to meet strict environmental standards and contribute to cleaner air.

How it works

We design technological equipment according to the specific conditions of the given operation.

We prepare project documentation for approval processes.

If necessary, we conduct pilot tests of biofiltration on equipment at your facility.

We manufacture, supply, and install complete equipment.

We take care of regular maintenance and replenishment of bioactive fuel.

We acquired the Seal of Excellence

Our biofiltration technology received the "Seal of Excellence" quality mark from the European Commission for air purification from odors and waste gases.

RCO incinerator

The biofilter has 5 times lower CO² production than an RCO incinerator

The data comes from our client who previously used regenerative catalytic oxidation (RCO) and decided to purchase our biofilter to reduce operational costs (electricity, natural gas, catalyst cleaning/replacement) and improve the ecological footprint of their company.
Comparison for cleaning 1000 mÂł/h (with a TOC concentration of 150 mg/mÂł).

RCO incinerator

Natural gas consumption is 1–2 mÂł/h. This results in 550 g COâ‚‚/h (with 100% conversion of 150 mg TOC), plus an additional 1,964 – 3,928 g COâ‚‚/h from burning 1–2 mÂł/h of natural gas.

Biofilter

Only 550 g COâ‚‚/h is produced (with 100% conversion of 150 mg TOC).

Explanation

TOC – total organic compounds or total organic carbon. It is a parameter used to quantify the total amount of organic compounds in a sample (in this case, in the air).

TOC analysis in air is usually performed using a GC-FID instrument, and the unit of measurement is mg/mÂł.
Natural gas consumption in an RCO incinerator depends primarily on operating conditions, the required efficiency, and the input concentration of TOC.

By conversion, we mean efficiency in percentage (“removing VOCs” = oxidizing them to CO₂).

How does biofiltration work?

Biofiltration is a method for removing emissions from waste air that relies on microorganisms to break down harmful substances. The polluted air passes through a biofilter with bioactive filling, where pollutants are captured on the surface of the biofilm and subsequently metabolized by the present microbial consortium.
